New Giants finally make a difference

Carlos Beltran, Orlando Cabrera, Jeff Keppinger -- the Giants' three July pick-ups -- combined for 6 hits in 14 at bats, scoring 4 runs and driving-in 4, as San Francisco beat Arizona 8-1. It was the first time all season -- 53 games -- the Giants scored more than 6 runs at home.

Who was traded just an hour before the game I went to Saturday night..He was as dreadful as I've ever seen him. Ususally he gets a lot of hits but manages to avoid lots of scoring, not so much yesterday (in June he gave up 14 hits and 2 runs to Baltimore)

3. Marquis had a very good first half

But he started really falling off in the beginning of June. I was more than a little surprised that the Diamondbacks wanted him, I guess they looked back at the earlier road trip were he did well and discounted the last few starts
