Colts could win one of two against the Jags, and Packers have back-to-back road games against the Lions and Giants.

4. Packers will go unbeaten

Only three remaining road games and they won't be touched at home. In this era the premier quarterbacks are virtually invincible at home, as evidenced by New England's long streak.

Rodgers is more cocky than any of the quarterbacks who have threatened unbeaten seasons recently -- Brady, Manning and Brees. He's not going to let this opportunity pass. The fact that so many chances have popped up recently indicates how imbalanced the league has become, and hints that one of the chances will go all the way. Heck, Green Bay has already won 14 consecutive games dating to last season. They are well settled into the role.

With the changes in defensive rules and interpretation, a dominant passing team has a ridiculous advantage in this era and Green Bay is taking advantage of it, not unlike the '72 Dolphins who abused the liberal pass defense rules by wiping out opposing receivers at the line of scrimmage.

If the D had improved post the bye, maybe. But the D was not better, and it might be even worse. At some point, that matters. And, unfortunately, that point really hits in the playoffs.

’Don’t you agree with me that it sounds as if Peyton Manning should just quit? I understand that he loves football and is a great competitor. But he is also a husband, father, son, and brother, and his general long-term health should be his No. 1 priority, not getting back on the football field. Peyton Manning is an all-time great player with nothing whatsoever to prove to anyone.

How could a team go to the Super Bowl 2 years ago and stink this much this year?? You mean to tell me that Peyton was the entire team?? He won 11+ games each season all on his own?? Something stinks in Indy

10. Watching that Super Bowl I was really thinking we were watching a team that had peaked

and was going to start its slide...it was an old team...even with peyton playing this year i don't think they'd be a serious contender.

I think they were headed for a 9 win season anyway. They haven't reloaded at the receiver position like they did a few years back. And, the defensive secondary has been sliding since before the SB appearance.

And, they played in a weak division the last couple years. Texas hadn't learned to win, TN was poor, etc. When they won 12 games, they had 3 to 5 freebies. They were already only a 9 or 10 win team in a tougher division, like the AFC North or East.

I'm surprised they're THIS bad, but i think they were clearly on the decline.

13. Wait until Green Bay gets home

People are doubting them based on defense. Not much longer. Once a team like that returns home after overcoming several recent major road tests to remain unbeaten, the confidence soars and the defense mends and any margin is possible. The Packers had trouble with Minnesota a couple of weeks ago. Now the rookie Ponder is sent on the road, into an changed set of variables he can't begin to imagine.

GB really only has two challenges left...at the Giants and at Detroit...can't see them having trouble with any of their other remaining games...

15. The only one I am concerned about is the Lions. My father has a loooooonnnggg

memory, and brings up the 1962 Thanksgiving Day game all the time. The Lions wrecked the Packers' perfect 10-0 season.

unpredictable...can play great (corss-reference, NE Pats, November 6, 2011) then stink it up at times...who knows????

18. Living in Detroit for 25 years and seeing the battle the Lions have put

up against the Packers (compared with the not as many tickets available to Packer fans this year) it's hard to not give the Lions the chance. Divisional and/or great rivalries are seemingly harder ones to win. I won't breathe easy until it's 1 second left in the 4th quarter with a two score lead on Thanksgiving Day. Clay Matthews looks like he's coming around and not overplaying so I'm a teensy bit less worried about the Giants. Although I worry every Game Day. :)

looking at their sked just now, they have a very good chance of finishing 16-0.

Giants have a good shot, maybe the Bears, but that one is in GB, and maybe the Lions in Detroit. Maybe.

For being the SB champs, I have to say GB has a pretty weak schedule. :P

Giants didn't even make the playoffs and their sked is brutal.
