Funny how folks forget about that.

And I think it accurately portrays the almost sick and fanatical haters to a T. How anyone can watch a game and obsess about another team losing to make your day (unless the other team playing is your team, or if the game impacts your team in a race) is really pretty insane. I don't see how people can live with that kind of hate.

I've got too many other teams to hate without worrying about the Cowboys.

4. Miami/Dallas game I remember was 20 years earlier on Thanksgiving |
|
The league stuck the Dolphins on the road at Buffalo four days prior to the Thanksgiving game at Dallas. In those days that was virtually unprecedented, and it happens seldom today. Invariably you are allowed a home game prior to traveling on Thanksgiving.
It was a meaningful game for the Dolphins since the teams hadn't played since the 1971 Super Bowl avalanche by Dallas. Miami's defense controlled the Thanksgiving game and the Dolphins emerged with the same 14-7 margin as the previous year's Super Bowl over the Redskins.
That era would not have been as sweet if we hadn't gotten another crack at Dallas, and in their stadium, no less.
I've never understood the hype toward the 1993 game.

Lived in Dallas at the time. Cold as hell but well worth the frostbite.
