After finishing my latest novel, and the first one I've decided was worth trying to publish, I've realized something. I have no patience at all.
Waiting for critiques to come back from different people I trust, and waiting for evaluation from the publisher, are killing me! Argh! :)

Obsess endlessly about your current novel, to the point that you never ever finish it.
Sure, you won't get a lot of writing published, but you will get a lot of obsessing done.

after readers' comments, it might be better not to start anything new.
If you just finished a book you've probably got about three months of chores to catch up on.
