Press Release Distribution Lists? |
|
Now I can ask a more specific question, thanks to BigMcLargeHuge :)
Any comments or suggestions regarding where to obtain reputable, up-to-date media contact lists? This would specifically be for a non-fiction book release.
There are tons of scam services out there, as well as a seemingly bogus service offered through many vanity presses.
Gosh, I feel dirty having been researching the whole self-publishing industry all morning. Ick, ick, ick. So many scams.
Just wondering if there is a central resource where one can find topic-specific media contact info to send out press releases on one's own.
I'll continue my search now...
Thanks again!

1. There are several but they do cost money... |

I suggest you join PMA(publishers marketing association) for the best bang for the buck.
SPAWN, SPAN and other associations are also good in some respects.
What is the topic of your book?

It's for a friend. It's a business book which discusses four areas of the marketplace which are bound to need more services/products in coming years, including products/services for the visually impaired (due to the aging population, more cases of diabetes which can lead to blindness, etc). My friend is visually impaired.
Thanks again!
