Just joined a local Writers' Group

The local library and an Arts group are hosting writers' groups in their buildings although they are not the official sponsors. Its just a goup of interested parties meeting. I was kind of stalled in my writing and I needed encouragement to get me going again so I decided to try it.

Was a little nervous and afraid they wouldn't like my stuff but I really wanted to try and start getting out of the house more often and this seemed like a good way to tackle both issues.

It was a lot of fun. Got some really positive feedback and some good suggestions. Really only minor tweeking, so it made me feel kind of positive about my writing again. I needed the boost.

3. I love my writers group

I tried a few over the years with no success but joined one at the end of 2004 that has been extremely rewarding and fun. The four of us all have different goals for our writing but we're all open to each other's work. We keep each other striving and perfecting until each gets to a final product. I hope your group turns out to be as wonderfully helpful.
