that's not exactly accurate. If you knock someone down, you don't necessarily get "higher." At the most, they don't get past you, while you remain where you are. That's a sentiment that's been expressed through the ages, in various iterations and variations.
Google isn't necessarily the end-all and be-all in terms of persuasive authority.
But, I wouldn't discount the Republican ticket so quickly. The stupidity of the American voter and the wiliness of Diebold must be considered and never overlooked.
