Ok folks, I have been looking for something that works across three platforms, yes I am glutton for punishment

Anyhow Writers Cafe is ok... and I just discovered, or rather rediscovered this

I once used it and didn't like it, after all its true power is when you have a screen play running. I use it for short stories and fiction, but it does almost all the things that the commercial software I have on the Mac does... I said almost

But hey, it runs on the linux box and the macbook and I can go from time to file. And I discovered it will save images as well

For that I am thankful. And as usual taking it through its paces in a short story
