| Comicon International... and a writing pannel with Straczynsky (Babylon 5) |

One thing that stuck out to me was the market research, forget market research... write from the heart.
Oh and he is not a plotter, I could tell... and his editing style is 180 from mine.
Oh and write from the heart... you are writing for yourself and he quoted the usual Heinlein line about keeping things in the market until they sell
It goes like this.
Write
Finish what you write...
Keep it in market until they sell.
Oh and I did not know he was a fellow alumni or that he lived in my town... San Diego State University.

| 1. Is that why he created the "San Diego Wastelands" in B5? |

I've known about "write from your heart" for years, whether because of reading/ hearing it or just knowing it. I've only ever written for myself and am always amazed that anyone likes my work. Of course, I get perplexed by the online-idjits that only give two-word reviews, like "It's okay. / Not bad." No criticism, no thought put into a reply. I think that's more aggravating than no comments at all.
The "finish what you write" part is kind of difficult at times, but I am working on it. I have yet to submit a manuscript to anyone; still kind of anxiety-ridden with that part.
I would have loved to have seen him talk. Anyone video it?

Apparently it is a yearly panel, so next year I will make a point of going there, and getting there earlier. I was shocked at how full it was.
