Have any of you gotten freelance article writing jobs for online content? |
|
Or have any of you gotten freelance jobs just using online sources? If so, share the process.
Have any of you used Demand Studios, etc. just to start out?

1. I did--editing, actually |

I edited a novel for a very sweet man (terrible book, though--self published). I bid on the job. I think I got it through GenuineJobs.com, but I'm not positive--I've got a long list of sites I used to visit regularly before getting the semi-regular gig I have now.
I also used to get a fair amount of interest on other bids I placed. Some weird stuff out there--it takes a lot of time to sift through the "spam-writing" jobs and find the good stuff, but when you do find a good one, it's like digging up a gold nugget.
I've actually gotten more jobs through my Web site--people approaching me cold--but those were people looking for local writers.

Sorry I didn't see this thread earlier. I write for Demand Studios. I highly recommend them. They pay twice a week, are very prompt and are a professional company. There are writers there who make a living doing it.
I applied at Demand Studios through their website and was hired. I had to set up a Paypal account to get paid. You get to choose from writing jobs on a variety of topics. They have writing guidelines based on the type of article you write.
It's really great.
