| I just attended a great writers conference |
|
Last year was my first year at The Writer's Institute in Madison, a three day conference for writers. Last year's keynote speaker was terrific. This year's - Janet Burroway - was fabulous.
I wasn't able to stay the whole weekend this year, but whether you are new to writing or an old hat, there was plenty of fare (even in one day) for anyone wanting to learn about changes in the publishing industry, build skills, or try something new.
Not to mention, it's a shot of writing adrenaline to be in a room full of writers.
There are writing conferences all over the country at all times of the year. Just do a google search if you think you'd like to try one.
I highly recommend it if you have the cash.

| 1. I've attended the San Diego State Writer's conference several times... |

It is also quite good. The contacts we make at conferences are very important.
