Just got a $27.28 royalty check for my Star Trek novel "The Trellisane Confrontation", which was published in 1984.
There was a much smaller check for the same book, six months ago, and nothing for years before that.
It might have something to do with reserves being released, despite the long time that's passed, but I'll pretend for now that the book is taking off again. So the next check, six months from now, should be in the $10,000 range. I'll be counting on that.
Now I don't have to worry about possible reductions in Social Security payments. I'm so relieved.

2. But now you can afford |

to download one of the bargain e-books! Your only problem will be which one to choose.

3. Congratulations, I think |

I hope you see that 10Gs in 6 months. I'm curious about whether you have a following among Star Trek fans for writing that book. Or whether any of them complained that it wasn't canonical enough.

4. I think that most of the readers of the books were fans of the shows |
|
I was a fan of the original show from the beginning. I was delighted to be given the chance to write a novel, when the show had gone off the air.
Paramount made sure that the books were reasonably canonical, at least later on, when later versions of the show became big moneymakers for the studio. The books had to be approved by Paramount before publication. In the case of one of my ST novels, Paramount insisted on a minor change because they didn't think it fit the ST universe properly as written.
