When I get a tax break at the time of conception... |
|
Then maybe we can talk about a fetus being the same as an actual human being like me.
Which reminds me. I'm also going to want a Social Security number for my fetus. And while we're at it, I'd like to make the birthday of my fetus as the day of conception.

That's always bugged me about pro-lifers. We don't celebrate conception day. That'd mean we'd have to celebrate the day our parents had sex, and sex is gross and immoral (gasp! All this talk of fornication is givin' me the vapors!)

3. Even the Bible recognizes a BIRTHday... |
|
Not a conception day or viability day.
Happy Conception Day to you!

5. Can I legally drink on my 21st Conception Day? |
|
Or do I have to wait until my 21st BIRTHday?
How about voting? Can a seventeen year old vote if he/she was born in December or January of the following year?
And citizenship. Suppose your parents moved here from.... oh let's say Iraq. They had sex and conceived you. Then while your mother was pregnant with you, she and your father passed their citizenship exams. Are you an American citizen or are you an Iraqi citizen?
But wait! What happens when you miscarry? Do you have to have a death certificate? Is there an inquest?

2. I'm still upset at my wife's pregnancy |
|
going along ... I was hoping for a Dec. 31 birth, at the latest ... but on Dec. 30 the checkup said, "Not gonna happen for a few days, at the earliest."
Then, morning of Dec. 31, into labor she goes. The offspring lands a bit after 1 AM on January 1.
Nooo... couldn't have it a mere two hours earlier ...
Still, a nice kid. Wouldn't send him back.

6. Congratulations on the birth of you child. Jan 1 birthday is cool! |
|
Any particular reason you wanted a 12/31 birth? Just curious.

7. Tax Deduction for the Entire Year |
|
You can claim a deduction for the entire year, even if the kid was born on the last day of it.
