Tiller abortion clinic allegedly performs abortion on unwilling sixteen-year-old

http://www.catholicnewsagency.com/new.php?n=13298

Wichita, Jul 18, 2008 / 05:55 pm (CNA).- A sixteen-year-old Kansas girl was allegedly forced by her mother to undergo an abortion on Wednesday at an abortion clinic run by the notorious late-term abortionist George Tiller. Reportedly both the teenage girl and the baby’s father, who was also sixteen, objected to the abortion. The young father arrived at the clinic too late to stop the abortion, a pro-life group says.

Abortionist George Tiller

According to an incident report from the Kansas Coalition for Life (KCFL) the sixteen-year-old girl was two months pregnant. Her mother brought her to the Women’s Health Care Services clinic in Wichita for the abortion at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday.

The KCFL says that Dillon, the reported father of the baby, arrived at the clinic in his own vehicle in the early afternoon. He reportedly told Jennifer McCoy, who was a KCFL pro-life counselor at the site, that his parents were willing to raise or adopt the baby and do whatever they could to help the teenage parents. Dillon claimed that he planned to marry his girlfriend when they graduated from high school and that his parents were supportive of the idea.

According to Dillon, only the girl’s mother wanted her to have the abortion and had threatened to disown the girl if she did not have one.
Jennifer McCoy sent Dillon into the abortion clinic to talk to the girl and to tell her that if she said she did not want the abortion, KCFL could call police to intervene on her behalf.

Thirty minutes after Dillon entered the clinic he, his girlfriend, and his girlfriend’s mother came to the gate and left the parking lot in their cars. According to KCFL the girl was crying, but her mother did not stop at the gate.

Dillon, also crying, stopped at the gate and told KCFL that he was just minutes too late. The baby was already dead when he was allowed to talk to his girlfriend. He asked KCFL to dedicate one of the on-site crosses to his baby as a memorial.

KCFL claims that organization volunteers have witnessed at least four similar incidents since they began their continuous presence at the clinic on Mother’s Day in 2004.

“It is not an uncommon scenario, and most young girls simply do not know their rights in this regard,” KCFL said.

10. Exactly.
The age of consent in Kansas is sixteen.

There is just no way the mother could have "forced" this.

I loved the line about the baby already being dead.

Nope. They have been unable to get rid of him no matter what they do so now they are trying this. He has been such a target for so long I am certain he will be up to dealing with this as well.

I call bullshit, once again I call bullshit and so far I am batting 100.

Edit: or is that 1000?

Meanwhile a leaked memo from the criminal bush administration, a real news story, indicates that as a parting gesture the administration intends to reclassify standard birth control mechanisms as 'abortion procedures' in order to shore up support with religious fanatics by attacking reproductive rights.

I have to go clean my shoes now.

8. One more thing.
“It is not an uncommon scenario, and most young girls simply do not know their rights in this regard,” KCFL said.

This is also bullshit. The only 16 year olds I know who do not have all the information they need are the kids whose parents shield them from life, do no allow sex education and those would be who? Oh yes, most likely the kids from families like those in the KCFL. When you shelter your kid so much that they know nothing I guess it is easy to assume that other kids don't know anything either? Bullshit.

12. Either 16 year olds get to make their own decisions, or they don't
Pick one.

(I seem to recall something about requiring "parental consent" for a teenager to have an abortion.)

13. Dr. Tiller was shot by one of the "pro-life" fanatics . . . yet, somehow .....
in the article it is Dr. Tiller who becomes "notorious" . . .

at an abortion clinic run by the notorious late-term abortionist George Tiller.

Rather, I think we should be calling the Catholic Church and their fanatical groups "notorious."

16. What a strangely worded article.

"Forced" her to have one. I don't think so.

"According to Dillon, only the girl’s mother wanted her to have the abortion and had threatened to disown the girl if she did not have one"

"Jennifer McCoy sent Dillon into the abortion clinic to talk to the girl and to tell her that if she said she did not want the abortion, KCFL could call police to intervene on her behalf"

"Thirty minutes after Dillon entered the clinic he, his girlfriend, and his girlfriend’s mother came to the gate and left the parking lot in their cars. According to KCFL the girl was crying, but her mother did not stop at the gate"

I don't see one single indication from the girl in question, who's body and choice actually it is, that she was "unwilling". Only heresy from her asshole boyfriend, who, if he is so goddam moral, should have kept his penis in his pants.

BTW, I'd be crying to if creepy forced birth pukes were standing outside when I went in to get a medical procedure.

In a different context, I agree with this sentence.

“It is not an uncommon scenario, and most young girls simply do not know their rights in this regard,” KCFL said.

Woman have the right, a basic human right as well as a moral right, whether to risk their lives carrying a fetus to term or not. Young women not only don't know their rights, they're being fed disinformation by twisted, anti-life human beings who value parasitic tissue-hood over autonomous personhood

Thanks catholicnews for more accurate reporting. I wonder, is supposed to be "the abortionist" pre-birth?
