so that the Supreme court doesn't fall into conservative anti-choice hands. Safeguarding Roe v Wade is the sure strategy to protecting CHOICE.
Any woman can afford an abortion, esp w/ help from Planned Parenthood. No woman is being denied an abortion right now.
A few republican appointments to the high court and American women will lose their reproductive freedom. Then we will revisit the days of back alley, coat-hanger abortions... and these are not free, nor covered by insurance either.

I agree that keeping the SCOTUS from becoming more right wing is necessary, but very much disagree with your assessment of ease of procuring an abortion for all women in USA right now.
