Anti-abortion activists say they plan to protest at a Maryland clinic being served by a Nebraska abortion doctor.

Dr. LeRoy Carhart, a Bellevue abortion provider, said last month that he planned to provide late-term abortions in Maryland and Council Bluffs.
He said Monday that any protest would not keep him from offering services at the Maryland clinic.
Carhart has said he wants to offer the abortions in other communities because a new Nebraska law prevents him from performing the procedures here.
Legislative Bill 1103, which went into effect Oct. 15, bans abortions at 20 weeks after fertilization or later. The law permits abortions at 20 weeks or later only to protect a woman’s life or prevent major physical problems.
Organizers said activists, clergy and others planned to picket at the Reproductive Health Services clinic in Germantown, Md.
