1. If you want more response, you should say what your |
|
post is about and, if possible, you should pique our interest so we will be drawn to read it. Just constructive criticism.

5. Thanks. I always appreciate... |
|
...having a 'critical friend.' :) Constructive criticism is good...I was just lacking energy when I posted. It rarely makes a difference when the topic is education. ;)

all teachers. It disgusts me that our prez thinks its okay to dis our teachers and our unions. Democrats shouldn't be doing that. All the best to you, and thanks for helping to form our children.

I just feel if someone goes to the trouble of a post it's proper to give a little context. Even just a small blurb on what the link is about.
It was not an attack on the subject matter itself.

7. zero content? really? maybe it's more that ed deform supporters don't like the content. |
|
Edited on Fri Dec-03-10 09:00 PM by Hannah Bell
when i think of "zero content," i think of sarah palin posts.
i mean, how many times does someone have to post the equivalent of
"oooh, just look at the latest low-class thing sarah's family did or said today!!!!! scaryyyyyy!! she could be the president if we don't vote for right-wing democrats, you know!!!!!"

That was good. :)
btw, not one of the ed deform cheerleaders out there. I just think it proper for at least a small notation of what a link is about. It wasn't an attack on the subject itself.
Thanks for the laugh, I needed it.

4. This could describe me: |
|
>>>>>As one teacher after another described working conditions they say are taking the joy out of a profession they care about deeply, a kind of virtual gloom descended on the conversation. “I can hardly stand to read this thread,” wrote one high school English teacher. “It sounds so familiar. And I am only 55. Wondering how much more I can take.>>>

To Yvonne Ca. : I think you have to come with sexier headlines if you want DUers to click on Ed threads in GD.
How 'bout: "Who's in that Ed 'reform' HOT TUB w. Obama now?"
W. a link to a pic of Cathy Black.

8. You are right about what it takes to get noticed... |

...and isn't that a rather sad commentary on the state of education. :) I must be depressed...or maybe just tired of the fight today. Thanks, SD. :hi:

13. I refuse to click on links just because someone says "Click on this link" |
|
I want an excerpt so that I can see if I'd be interested or not.
