CIA Signs on to Gay Military Convention

The Central Intelligence Agency has signed on to be a cosponsor of a convention for gay military personnel this fall.

The CIA and Amazon will lead a discussion on post-military careers at the 2011 OutServe Armed Forces Leadership Summit. The CIA and other agencies, such as the FBI, recruit openly gay agents. J.D. Smith, the codirector of Outserve and an active member of the military, said this will be an integral step for the nation after "don't ask, don't tell."
