At every dinner, they give out gift bags, well, I finally had the inclination to go through mine last night and guess what Wells Fargo donated for the gift bag? Either someone has a sense of humor, has no clue or hangs out on DU. Wells Fargo gifted us with a... wait for it... PONY!
Not only did they gift us with a pony (I know, Pony Express, etc.) but the ponies name is Snowflake. Sorry, just had to post about the irony of receiving a pony in the gift bag.
As far as the dinner goes, it was fun. Obama was great, seeing a table of soldiers in dress uniform was great and Cyndi Lauper was awesome (the real reason I wanted to go)--if not, it seemed, a wee bit drunk.
