FLU Season - handshake, not hug is the wise man's choice.Hug spreads flu |
|
Buscaglia, who popularized hugs here, advised hugs "but not in the flu season."
Ordinary talking (and breathing?) creates droplets that spread the flu.
Get the shot.

1. Actually an arm bump works better. Wash your hands after shaking hands, before touching |

2. have had the flu shot....... |
|
and the newest pneumonia vaccine.
That's a bit ironic, because I've already had pneumonia this year. I was warned that, without the shot, was liable to get it again!

3. Handshakes spread flu easily. Use hand sanitizer when you can't wash. |
|
Oh, and get your effin' flu shot!

7. A handshake is no better really. Hands spread the germ from |
|
the contagious one's face/nose/whatever they touch on themselves, to your hands, which you then rub your nose or eyes, and viola! you are still sick.
Granted hugging may be worse, but hand shakes aren't a surety against illnesses, flu or cold.

9. Well, I say be a bit judicious, don't touch skeevy stuff, don't hug everyone and their mother, but |
|
hell--live your life.
It's an IMMUNE system....it's meant to be used.
If you've got any immune compromises, disregard my opinion on the topic, of course.
I've never gotten flu shots, and rarely gotten flu. So .... I dunno.

10. Actually, even handshakes are probably best avoided in flu season. Just smile at people! |
|
And become a compulsive handwasher for the duration!
