A question which should be asked of Roberts: |
|
"If George W. Bush came up guilty in an impeachment, would you overturn the inevitable pardon?"
Let it get out there . . .

2. Is this an attempt at a trick question? |
|
Impeachments are the one "crime" that cannot be pardoned. Plus, there is no authority granted to anyone or any institution for reversing or overturning one.

The last sentance should have read: Plus, there is no authority granted to anyone or any institution for reversing or overturning a pardon.

3. Trick question or not, I don't thin the SC can do that. |
|
Impeachment is written into the Original Constitution, so even a strict constructionist couldn't disregard it. Short of a constitution ammendment, it simply can't happen!
