In a city alone and invisible to most,
known by many - but acknowledged by
none, A voice sings songs of injustice
and war, contempt and crime, poetry and
strength. Beauty they say in the eyes
of all who behold her. Sadness and
anger at all that is lost because of
all you have gained, pain and anguish
for what few know and even fewer could
accept. Sacrifice for dreams that only
others realize, the crowds and their noise...
The watchman I've read is a blessed
soul, Brother Daniel with Ezekiel and
stone tablets turned into paper
notebooks. This cannot be read or sold -
the power of one man - to be told.
Send it here and send it there, These
pages but a ghost in the minds of the
informed and the powerful, copies and
perhaps.. just perhaps, an original
exist - a dreamers struggle for a
meaningful life shared with just one,
then the memory or an epiphany - 4
years past...
Rolling now and knowing why, innocence
no more. Faith? Faith was the cry...
turned against my soul. A few words and
some candles to light, bulking up for
an incredible fight. Seasons and years,
my remote and me...listening,
listening.
There was a time when I didn't hate. A
time that believing justice for all,
meant ALL. A time when God and Country
meant everything to me. Disillusionment
has become an unwanted abusive lover.
Longing for the past, if only one could
go back and not take that fork in the
road. Alone with too much to bear, too
much to hold inside, too much
understanding with too little
understanding. Secrets held awaiting
justice.
