What's the Deal with Michael Jackson....

Honestly, I don't think the families going after Jackson have a case. I think they're making wild assumptions because Jackson is extremely eccentric. These people see him change his appearance and they see the way he loves to be around children and act like a child, so they assume he's a nutcase child mollester.

While this family's assumption has some validity because Jackson is eccentric and he is a nutcase, I think a good number of people don't understand Jackson. Jackson never had a childhood. His childhood was lost to the music industry. As a result, Michael Jackson developed a "Peter Pan" complex. Since he never had a childhood, he embraced the premise of "Peter Pan" and chose to retake his childhood later in life. This "Peter Pan" complex is the reason he looks like a disney character. He's trying to, literally, turn himself into Peter Pan. You can see it in his complexion and the plastic surgery he's gone through. You can see it in the name of his ranch, "Never Never Land".

Why is Jackson really getting drug through the mud? Well... If Jackson wasn't being smeared by the media right now, what kind of political impact could he make and who would he be? Short of this child molestation campaign and his freaky appearance, Michael Jackson is virtually unscathed by inpurity. If Jackson didn't have his reputation smeared in the media, he'd be the ultimate anti-war and anti-Bush figure. How much would Jackson's representation threaten the agenda of this administration if Jackson never got implicated in this child molestation scandal.

Jackson was never political, so I doubt this is an attempt to silence a leading peace activist. If you've read the depositions on www.smokinggun.com, it appears that Jackson has a fondness for diddling young boys. There is enough evidence for a Grand Jury to have charged him with a crime. The trial will decide his guilt or innocence, but I suggest he start preparing himself for a long prison stay.

WAY before the Bush administration ever existed. He was paying multimillion dollar hush money in the early 1990's!! He's brought this on himself and it's about time a jury decides what justice will be for Mr Jackson. But, like Dookus said, I think Michael's probably planning how he'll live the next ten or twenty years without his make up or his prosthetic nose!!!

I think this is a shakedown. I do not believe the stories. I think these people tried to hold Jackson up and since times are not that flush for him now he couldn't meet their demands.

I would assume Jackson threatened to press charges for extortion, and to press charges the other way was the response. In other words, the best defense is a good offense.

6. Early 1990's???

Wasn't that about the same time Daddy Bush waged war against Iraq??? Tell me why Jackson seemed to stay clean of these scandals throughout the nineties. BTW... That case in the early 90's was so bullcrap and you should know that. Don't you remember the recording of the victim's dad's conversation on the phone during that trial? The only thing he talked about was how much money he wanted to get. That case was so obviously a money grab, that it was sickening.

As for this case... I'm just not sure. I think some people see Jackson as an easy target because of his eccentricity and decide to take advantage of it. Essentially... I'll bet money Jackson isn't gound guilty of this and I'll bet money that the civil case is settled out of court. Why??? Because this is obviously just another person looking to get rich at Jackson's expense.

If Jackson really was a child molester, I'm pretty sure their'd be more than one family pressing charges in the early nineties and one family pressing charges a decade later. As our catholic priests have shown us.... This kind of sickness doesn't limit itself to a child once every decade. If Jackson was a Chimo, their'd be a number of people coming out and speaking about their experience right now, but you don't see that... do you?

10. If the steps to prove molestation...

... are one through ten, Jackson's own public admissions put the state's case at maybe 8. Keep in mind that there is a disconnect between what the star-dazzled media is reporting and what the D.A. has in its trial notebook. I don't doubt that Jackson has psychological problems. Unfortunately for him, they are not a defense and may end up adding to the circumstantial case against him.

There is certainly a disconnect between the defense strategy and reality. If I was his defense lawyer, I would direct him to get a crew-cut, get rid of the make-up and get a pair of slacks, a white shirt, a solid tie and a fuzzy sweater from Pennys to wear to court. I would tell the jury that his bizzare public appearance is just an act and that this more normal looking dude (except for the nose) is the real guy.
