The hearing officer is expected to make a recommendation within a few days and the Commission will make their decision within 3 weeks.
The Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa has arranged for Pelter to have a place to live, a teaching job and a position on the Council of Elders if he is paroled.
A US Attorney for North Dakota has called Peltier “an unrepentant, violent armed criminal who is a continuing danger to the public welfare.”
Peltier, who will soon be 65, is in poor health with diabetes, high blood pressure, a jaw problem and urinary system ailment.
Will the FBI win, again?

Here is an American political prisoner who has been around for a long time. How we can turn a blind eye to the horror that we've put these people through is just beyond me. The really sad part is that those at the shooting know who killed the FBI agents, and if it's not Leonard, they will not come forward with who really did it!
