Two boys arrested after SLO man's death

Police said both boys were suspected -- but not arrested -- in the recent theft of a small John Deere tractor from a construction site near the mobile home park. Neighbors said the boys had taken it for an early morning joyride through the park.

So, they didn't know what they were doing? They don't know
what stealing is? Vandalism? They didn't know the result
of whacking a person in the head? They don't know the
difference between right and wrong? The Golden Rule?
WWJD? Even if their parents raised them in a barn, I
think they *do* know the answers to the above.

1. SLO used to be so mellow

I have fallen asleep at a sidewalk cafe table, killing time before a plane.
Had all my shit in a pile, computer, suitcase, the whole nine yards.
I felt really safe.

2. Yes. I loved that part of

CA. My in-laws had a house in Pismo. My Mister and I
used to be able to name the 7 Cities.

Apparently, that part of the state has degraded along
with most of the US. Very sad.

These 2 people will never make it in normal society.
If they are ever out of prison, I forsee either
another major crime(s) or someone will kill them
within 18 months.

I have forgotten - up here there are a couple of
murderers and rapists that I wanted to remember
their names but now I don't remember.

FWIW, we are going to have to get a burglar alarm
and as much as I don't want to, maybe also a dog.

This just pisses me off that a person must spend
all this money they cannot afford, in order to protect
their body/life and their personal possessions which
*they* worked hard for, as compared to the rich, or
to people like these 2.

I can only imagine what the parents are like. Even
still, these 2 *do* know what they were doing and
chose to do it anyway.

5. I am here in the buckle of the bible belt

deepest Kansas.
And we are all still agog about
the BTK killer, who acts just like
our local codes nazi down the street.
All the way to the measuring your grass.
But this sort of sado-fascist-paraphilic profile
does fit right in Kansas mainstream society, if you listen to Sen. Sam Brownback, for example, you hear the obscession for order, and the need to inspect and punish, our state AG is about to violate patient priviledge in a disgusting way. It is all of a peice.


These two kids will not ever make it into society
I think. Some things just lose you the chance,
and this is one of them.

BTW-Learn how to use hand weapons. I recommend a knife and pepperspray combo, at least it works for me.

6. Spray is a good idea. I truly am scared

of someone breaking into the house and the way this
class of people behave, they prefer to kill.

I am so messed up physically, there is no way
I could run, much less walk away.

That leaves me with spray and a gun. An alarm
and a dog would be good for an early warning
but I would expect them to kill a dog too.
