Any comments on racial profiling and sterotyping?

The human condition does this sort of thing automatically more often than not. However, shouldn't we expect our law enforcement servants to control themselves a bit better when they question people and make sterotypical judgments about how someone looks or dresses? Afterall, they see it ALL; one would think that cops wouldn't "judge a book by it's cover" automatically. I might expect that sort of thing from a civilian but not from law enforcement.

Had a bad day today with my youngin'. Just curious what any one thinks about this or if any one is bothered by this type of thing at all.
