THE HOSPITAL BILL
A poor Jewish man lived alone in a small apartment in a
large
apartment building in a
Catholic part of town. He was friendly to all, but just barely
had enough to get by on.


One day he got very ill...Some neighbors across the hall
became
worried and
> took him to the local Catholic hospital. The staff and the
> sisters at the hospital took great care of him and he recovered
> rather quickly.
. As he was released, Mr Rabinowitz was given an envelope which
> contained the hospital bill.
Mr Rabinowitz said, " I live alone, and have no money, I
cannot
> afford
> this 10,000 bill." The sister says go upstairs to the sixth
floor
and talk to the Mother Superior.

He goes up stairs and says, "I live alone and got
> > nothing, there is no way I can pay this bill." The Mother
Superior
says,
"Well do you have any relatives, ....He says, " I have a sister
who
converted to be a Catholic and she has nothing, she is nun
lives in a
convent, and she lives in poverty." "I am saddened by her
actions," He concludes.

The Mother Superior became indignant, your
sister is a wonderful woman has given much to all and is
married
to Jesus .
Mr. Rabinowitz thinks a moment and
says," Well, ...Send the bill to my brother- in- law."
