5. 100% Yup, I'm old as dirt. |
|
I even remember when the ice man came with his big block of ice slung over his shoulder. He used to chip off chunks of crystal-clear ice for us kids. We wrapped them in paper napkins and sucked on them like popsicles.

I got all except the cigar guy and the Studebaker. I remember having a party line. And I'm only 35 (contiguous ;-) )...

Sent the link to my 85 year old father - he missed two and asked me if he could blame senility . . .
None of want to be older than dirt, I guess! :)

13. You are...older than dirt |
|
I only missed one...
10 - 12 correct: You are not only older than dirt, but smart as a buggy whip. Now if you could only remember yesterday.
I'm only 35 - I just have a good memory for useless facts. The only one I missed was about the guy who died recently at 113. I didn't read the stories about him, so I didn't know what he attributed his longevity to.

I'm 58. However, I grew up on a farm in rural Ontario that was always at least 20 years behind the rest of the world. I walked to a one-room schoolhouse and used a privy. You can't get there from here, eh?

18. I missed the Studebaker one. |
|
But that's because I read a lot. I'm not old.
My husband and I lived on one of the family farms the first year we were married. The phone company was locally owned, and they still had party lines until about 1980.

22. Then those 5" tvs black and whites |
|
Came The Lone Ranger and Tonto. Some of the radio shows tried to move over but didn't quite make it. I know about the privy - that's where the Sears catalog was kept and the hornets liked it fine. We had jalopies which for us were model t cars we used on the farm and back and forth to the lake but were unregistered and uninsured but, we could sit directly on the seats in our wet bathing suits. My uncle made one of the model T's into a tractor with a different transmission and small tires in front and big tires in the back and no body or floor boards.
