in GD...I know there's a TON of threads and posting going on today, but still.... I'm saddened that it sank without a single reply, even while the GBLT-subject thread that inspired me is big news? for myself that the issue of women's rights that are posted in general discussion are ignored for the most part. nice post btw :hi:

Well, not to be too cynical but, uh, yes? :(
I'm going to read your post now but I have to say, I watched Obama's speech on the formation of the Council for Women and Girls live and was incredibly inspired by it.
ETA: Sorry, didn't realize the post was that old. Anyway, yes it is encouraging to believe that someone takes women's issues seriously again (just not GD). :hi:
