1. This was posted several times yesterday. Some on DU supported it! |
|
I am not sure which is more frightening, the exitence of the Bill itself or that alleged Democrats would support it. This is terrible.

It's the first time I've heard it mentioned. But it's damn scary!

3. I make the same suggestion to the women of Utah that I made |
|
when some Talibornagain ass in Virginia who wanted death certificates issued for miscarriage: send the author of the bill all your used tampons and sanitary napkins so he can determine for himself whether or not a miscarriage has occurred.
My guess is that he'll crack in under a day and withdraw the bill. The guy in Virginia did less than a day after I posted that suggestion on a message board there. I do hope it was something I said.

6. Utah bill reduces women to incubators (Guardian UK) |
|
From The Guardian (UK): Utah bill reduces women to incubators...The architects of this legislation insist it was not designed to punish women, but to protect the unborn. Somehow I don't find that comforting, coming from the same lot who won't properly fund childhood education or support universal healthcare. Or any other legislation that would make a material difference in the lives of the born.
