And at the UN --

It's been a really rough week at Beijing +10, where they've been trying for a "declaration" rather than opening up the language from before, because they're afraid of going backwards....

And the US delegation has been pushing really hard for inserting an amendment that says women don't have a "a right" to abortion.

I think they're giving in finally, but at a meeting of NGOs,I heard, the anti-abortion people were apparently better organized and in larger numbers than the pro-choice, or leave-it-as-it-is, folks.

That scared me. If I have my info correctly. I hope I have it backwards.
