for those of you who insist that there is no sexism in our society, look at obama's speech and, each

time the word "black" is used, substitute "women"

you might, then, have some small idea of the destructive force that was, is, and continues to be, sexism and patriarchy in this country.

3. If you mean on DU at all, there are those who have.
GD and GD-P are places to look, if you want. They are here and they have said that.

mind-boggling.

5. Crap. I'm so tired of this. I'm a 58 yr old white women, an original feminist.
Hillary isn't losing because she's a woman. She losing because she's a bad candidate. She's losing because she contradicts herself daily. She's losing because she'll defy every rule, take every ethical shortcut, to win. She's losing because she has lined up corporate support rather than grassroots support. She's losing because no one ever knows which 'Hillary' will show up at any given time...'It's an honor' Hillary, or the 'Shame on you' Hillary. She's losing because we can't trust a word that comes out of her mouth, and because she exaggerates her experience, refuses to release tax returns and documents, and spends much of her time bashing one of the finest candidates this party has ever seen.

Hillary is NOT losing because the American public is sexist. Personally, I am represented by a woman State Senator, Lisa Brown, who is Majority Leader of the Senate in our state. I am represented by a horrible Republican Congresswoman, Cathy McMorris. I am represented by two very good women Senators, Murray and Cantwell. I am represented by a woman Governor, Christine Gregoire.

Hillary is losing because she can't get a person like me to vote for her. And, I assure you, I am not sexist.

6. you know, NOWHERE did I say anything about hillary. this post is
about the rampant sexism that is STILL a large part of our society. don't put words in my mouth, and don't assume the post says something it doesn't.

8. FYI i read and rec'd your post
when you first posted it. i didn't get AT ALL that you were talking about Senator Clinton. i TOTALLY got that you were talking about the institutionalized sexism that is so much a part of American culture, and just about every culture worldwide.

10. She's losing because of the perennial failure of a DLC election team
Honestly, those "handlers" couldn't "handle" themselves out of a wet paper bag! They've completely fucked up our last two candidates, men who should easily have defeated Stupid even with all the election fraud the GOP threw at them.

Clinton, if you want to know why you've got such a fight on your hands, start with that Penn waste of oxygen and work down. You've started off with your hands tied behind your back and if you get to the general election, these bozos will allow McInsane to win and give us the final destruction of this country.
