Does it bother anyone else not to be able to kick in |
|
to the DU pot? I mean when every penny is accounted for and you have to click on the unable to contribute button to get in the game?

4. The probable reason for the LLC |
|
IMHO:
A private Limited Liability Corporation has very few paperwork requirements compared to almost any other form of business entity; and unlike a privately-owned non-corporation, the principals (Skinner, Elad and EarlG) can dump it intact if they have to, so DU will be able to carry on without them attached to it.
Non-profits have horrendous paperwork requirements, unlike religious organizations, which are also non-profit but privileged.

6. Skinner's paying taxes |

Oh the shame of it. Geez. You do know directors working at non-profits often make more than their private counterparts, right?

11. Not the Not For Profits I've worked for.... |
|
And I've worked for a considerable number.
As it happens, I happen to be a director for a small NFP, and I do it out of love. I get 0, and even if I wanted to be paid, we don't have enough money to cover me.
Since NFPs have to publish annual reports that include salary information, please back this statement up with some facts and figures. In my experience in the educational, environmental and health and human services sectors, I have never seen a director make more in the NFP sector than in the private sector.

that I should know when the fund drive is and put even five bucks back for it, the trouble is right now putting that away is getting harder and harder to do.

8. doesn't have to be a fund drive |
|
There doesn't have to be a fund drive going on in order to donate. I don't know whether it helps to know that.

9. Yeah, I can't kick into anything that I'd like to |
|
I try and justify it by telling myself my job is charity, cause it's nonprofit and i don't make shit.

I was not able to contribute the first time around, either. Don't beat yourself up, we know how things are in Bushworld.
