Some one gave me a star a few months ago when I could not afford one. It meant that I could post in groups again when I was not able to. It gave me so much more freedom in the site! You reminded me that it is time for me to 'pay it forward' especially now that it is fund drive time :)

I can't afford a star, but I can live without one. If you like, and if I'm not being too presumptuous by suggesting it, you can always make a donation to a poverty-related cause in lieu of what my star would have cost. Supporting DU is great, but I personally would like that even more than I would like a star.

At any rate, you have kudos and my respect for your willingness to help others who are financially less fortunate.

I was without a star for a couple of months.... didn't realize my last donated star had worn out. But, I"m up to date, now, so I really appreciate you helping others!

Now all we need for you to do is to write some letters to get Obama to make sure we get more low-income housing! I don't think we can donate the housing.... ^_^
