National Inquirer - Huge article on horse slaughterhouses

I was surprised. I know this is rag magazine but every week they have an article on animal abuse and it gets out to lots and lots of people.

They did one on the man in Great Britain that was killing greyhounds for $15 a head - had killed 10,000 and buried them in his backyard.

This week they did an article on the slaughterhouses in the US that slaughter horses and then ship the meat to Europe and Japan.

I personally think slaughtering horses is despicable (would be the same as having slaughterhosues for dogs here in the US and then sending the meat to China) and I'm glad to see this kind of national coverage - rag or not.

It will reach a segment of the population that maybe does not pay attention to more mainstream news sources! I know I have friends that live and die by the tabloid rags.
