| I've discovered two good things lately |
|
I just wanted to share two good veggie things I've found lately. Maybe they won't be new to you, but I'm glad to have found them.
The first--Morningstar Farm Riblets! I've missed ribs since I quit eating dead animals. But these really do remind me of 'em. The texture, the flavor. I could live on these!!
The second--Pangea. Okay, most of you probably know about this, and I'd heard of it, but never really looked at it closely nor ordered from 'em. But I've been looking for some good, warm, vegan shoes for winter. I used to wear woolen clogs, and was looking for something similar but, of course, cruelty-free. A little googling brought me to Pangea.
I'm especially pleased to see the statement about supplying only products from countries with good labor laws. I've been torn for some time between concerns about workers and about animals. And now so many non-leather shoes are made in China--Keds, Crocs, Earth Shoes, and on and on. I was grateful to find a site where I could buy cruelty-free shoes that don't exploit labor.
I ordered a pair of fake leather clogs, and will look into Pangea the next time I need shoes (and other things).
So, I just thought I'd share my good news with you. Now, riblets for dinner!

I love thier vegan sweets stuff. I was really not expecting to get white chocolate ships or marshmallows again anytime soon, but they make both and they're pretty darn good.

| 2. Riblets...Gardenburger, or am I missing something? |
|
Is Morningstar Farm making these now, too?
I agree... Pangea rocks like a 1990 triple bill of Faith No More, Guns 'n Roses and Metallica.

Yeah, I'm still annoyed 16 years later. :eyes:

| 4. Yes, I saw Morningstar riblets on the grocery shelf |
|
at Kroger here in Georgia a couple of weeks ago. I haven't bought them yet because I have some Gardenburger riblets in my freezer that I have not yet eaten. But I will try them next. I believe these will be better tasting than the Gardenburger brand, since all Morningstar products taste better as compared with Gardenburger, at least to my taste buds.

I'm bullish on riblets. They're going places!
