| 1. I'll probably see it when it's out on DVD |
|
Or when it hits the cheapo theater.
I don't expect it to have much impact on peoples attitudes though--just look how much of a fit they pitch over smoking bans.

| 4. Well, I pitch a fit over smoking bans but I'm adamantly against factory farming. |

| 2. I don't think I could take it. |

I would love to see it but if there are scenes of animal cruelty I will have to forgo it. I can't deal with that. I love this forum but I always have to hide the animal threads. :) I trust I will learn enough about it when you all see it.
I have to get off the chicken. Working on it.

and recalled glancing over something or other about the book. (must have been this very thread....)
My co-worker was in shock, and we ended up having a work break chat on the subject matter. I think this movie is having an impact on some otherwise hardened habitual people.
I am glad the subject matter is becoming front and center for some people now. Since then, I have met several people swearing off of the fast food meats. I hope a trend gets started among a portion of the population.

other like joints......but I really do wonder ...... Had dinner the other night with two self admitting ex pubs (union members at that.....what were they thinking???) who, while they chowed down huge bites out of their hotel dining room burgers (delivered, of course, by mass food service trucks) were lamenting the slaughter horse trade. They both had horses of their own and were into the petitions and saving of the horses from slaughter.
The transformation bell curve is a big curve, and I can only hope their transformations due to sympathies for their beloved horses can extend to other suffering animals.
