| The beagle's been invited to do "Paws for Reading" |
|
That's a program where she goes to the Head Start program, and the kids read to her. It's supposed to help the kids because they know a dog won't be judgmental of their skills.
I'm also hoping it'll teach kids empathy for animals. It's never too early!!
I think she'll be great at this. The instructor from here CGC class invited us. We're very excited. Well, I am. But she would be if she knew about it!

| 1. What an interesting program. |

I think most programs that involved humans interacting with animals benefit humans. I had a boss who was nice, but a bit cold hearted toward animals & the plight of animals. Then she got a dog. She is a different woman in regards to animals. No, she didn't go veg, but she is now against fur & contributes to animal shelters & that type of thing.
It's hard to hang onto the idea that animals are non-feeling beings when you spend time with them. You can see that they are not.
Let us know how it goes!
