http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=364&topic_id=2914477&mesg_id=2914477There are so many in GD that just say..."Oh yeah I believe in humane practices" and then ignore the reality of farming practices... I am hoping to get some of them to read this since it has no PETA reference for them to latch on to and start dithering on inanely about. Thanks :).

| 1. That does not stop them. |

Any mention of animal welfare, vegetarianism or related topics eventually prompts somebody to post why they have PETA, usually ending further rational discussion.

I'm going with the likely possibility that LeftyMom meant "hate" PETA, since that's what all too many folks around here seem to understand. I know that you understand my meaning.
Fact is, the mere mention of any animal welfare/rights/advocacy topic here invokes what I've dubbed "flvegan's law" (the introduction of PETA in any animal thread) due to the simple stupidity of same in regards to Godwins/Hitler rule. In other words, mention anything in reference to animals outside of them getting hunted/killed/eaten and sooner or later some ass-clown will drag PETA into it on a most negative note. That's flvegan's law. It's the ass-clownery that makes me laugh time and again.
And yes, I said ass-clown.
