I got some at Whole Foods. I wanted a Tofurkey but they were out.
I began eating it with relish. I told myself "a bit chewy, but not bad." Then I realized I really didn't like it.
I like ground beef-style soy in chili. It's probably good in spaghetti sauce. I got some "meatballs" - I'm cautiously optimistic about those. I prepared some veg "sausage" yesterday. The taste was almost right, but the consistency is off (of course. It's not meat).
Meh.

but "just vegetarian" :)
Quorn products are pretty darn good. We really like the "turkey roast" here. Even the non-veggie husband is okay with it. He really likes the leftover "turkey sandwiches".
Also, Hains makes some good vegetarian gravy. We tried the "Chicken" flavor this year. Pretty good.

| 6. Quorn has a fake veal pattie with Gruyere cheese. It's to die for. |
|
But it's hard to find. My local Kroger sells it and sometimes they are completely out.

I've had tofurkey & unturkey. Those are pretty good, but they're a little too realistic for my taste.
I've never tried "meatballs"--they'd probably freak me out, too. (I'm pretty easy to fool!)

I just love 'em!! I love so many fake meats, that I can't understand why we're still killing animals for food.
But I've never had Veat.

| 4. My fave T-dinner replacement is |
|
Smoked tofurky deli slices on an open faced sandwiche with mashed potatoes & gravy. If there is some good veg stuffing to go with, excellent.
As for the sausage replacement, I like Gimme Lean Sausage flavor. If you are making a sausage gravy, I highly recommend Vegan with a Vengeance's White Bean & Tempeh Sausage Gravy. A very tasty but more wholesome sausage gravy. Nate's Meatless Meat Balls, oven baked, are a decent meat replacement, but don't let them soak in any kind of sauce. If you want spaghetti & meatballs, or stroganoff with meatballs, serve the meatballs out of the sauce.

| 5. No. I browsed for my Xmas dinner for something different at the supermarket and |

saw many items that have been mentioned in our forum....but did not see this one.
I did settle for the pre-made frozen veggie burgers (Boca) since I was pressed for time. I cooked it up with a special homemade sauce, and had some other special side dishes to accompany my special holiday evening off at home with my adopted "critter" family.
