Once a person is so utterly blinded by an opinion one way or another about a person or group, we can pound truth, reality and reason into them all day long, but they still won't get it. Abortion is wrong, gays are immoral, anyone with an accent is a terrorist, blah blah blah.

What posters in threads like that normally fail to see is that PETA is simply doing her job. Not always a popular one, not one even I always agree with, but they don't forget what their mission is. They're the ACLU of animal rights.

Also missed in that thread...the point that PETA is making about Durbin BRAGGING about it. Replace "rat" with "stray dog" and see what the response is.
