yet another sad animal story

this organization was started by the renowned wildlife photographer, Thomas Mangelson. I had attended a benefit by Defenders of Wildlife to help the reintroduction of the black footed ferret and he was a speaker. He told the story of how he started his photography with cranes in Nebraska and then moved on to different animals. He wanted to photograph a puma and was shocked to hear of how many are mothers who are shot, which means a certain death for her kids, as she brings food to them, so if she doesn't come back, it means a certain death.

This is another organization that needs help.
