I've tried a vegetarian diet in the past, mostly for health reasons. I always feel so much better after a week or two on it - but I always give in some where and end up feeling really bad for cheating and just give up altogether. I had chicken yesterday, which I'm kicking myself for, but that aside, I've been eating veggie for about a week now, and I would really like to stick to it this time. The piece of grilled chicken I had hit my stomach really hard after only about five days of not eating meat. It surprised me that it affected me so quickly (and so strongly), but that convinces me even more that I need to see this through. I just need some advice, such as some good recipe books to purchase. Bonus if they have good recipes for small groups - it's just hubby and myself at home. Tips as to what restaurants offer good veggie fare would be much appreciated, too.
TIA!

Congrats on your decision!
Robeson has some great links above. As for restaurants, I see that you're in Texas. I have no clue, but I'm sure that if you Google Texas vegetarian restaurants you'll get some good leads.

| 3. Somebody here knows Texas veg dining, I'm sure. |
|
I've heard from multiple sources that Spiral Diner is fantastic. I think they have multiple locations, but being a Californian who's never spent more time in Texas than it takes to change planes, I really have no idea beyond that.
