| I just had a test called a cardiac calcium score done and I'm bragging about it |
|
I tested 0. Zero at nearly 55 years old is great and with my family history it's remarkable. I'm going to say that eating a plant based diet has much to do with it.
I ate a vegetarian diet for most of the years between 1983 and 2006 with a brief period of eating meat at the insistence of my physician. In 06 I came to this group looking for answers and found help finding supplements and other types of foods that I could eat which were beneficial for me. I have never looked back and in fact have influenced three family members to "get off the meat".
I wanted to give special credit to lefty mom who really educated me, to flvegan who suggested I eat more instead of less to feel better and of course to those of you here back then who encouraged me as well. I just wanted to say thanks, it wouldn't have been as easy without you.
I am a zero and I'm damn happy about it. :bounce:

| 1. Congrats on your zero! |
|
BTW, in case your dr didn't tell you, those scores go from zero to 400. I agree that a plant-based diet is a contributor to your excellent score.
