Looking for some suggestions for a good vegan post-workout meal, currently my meal consists of brown rice medley and albacore tuna, and I'd like a good non-meat option to try out. One caveat - it can't contain soy, as much as I like tofu, I'm apparently either allergic to it, or it simply plays hell on my digestive system...
Thanks in advance for your ideas!

| 1. Depends. Are you looking for a meal (dinner) or a refuel? |

My personal favorite is old school all the way. Peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Make sure the jelly isn't some HFCS crap and the bread isn't just empty calories. Perfect mix of carbs, protein and "sugar"
I normally have a hemp protein shake before it, but I don't consider that a real meal.
If you're thinking of an actual sit-down meal, I make killer fajitas. Love 'em.

I was thinking along the lines of a peanut butter sandwich; just a good way to get a little bit of protein and carbs, so it sounds like that would fit the bill. Never been a fan of PB&J though, probably because I've never found a jelly I like. Any recommendations? I suppose I could always just mash out a peanut butter and banana sandwich :)

| 3. Peanut butter and banana is even better. |

I don't like bananas, personally but the addition of a raw fruit and potassium boost is a definite plus over the PB&J.
As for jelly, if you need something easy to find, Polaner All Fruit is good. Crofter's Organic is very good, but you'll probably have to order it over the internet.
