| DVD-RW disc causing kernel panic! HELP! |
|
So, I often backup data from work (on an XP machine) to a Sony DVD-RW, and bring it home to my G5, currently running Tiger. Normally, I've had no problems, but for some strange reason, this ONE disc causes a kernel panic every time I put it in the machine. I have no idea what could do such a thing, unless it's just dead from overuse, and some strange combination of factors leads to the panic.
Thoughts?

bad RAM, and bad coding. If the panics happen more and more often, I'd say check the RAM, but if not I'd say there is something coded wierd on the disk. Other than that, I can't help you. Good luck
