    | Could anybody here work for Steve Jobs? |

I'm reading iCon right now, about halfway through it, and although he's brilliant, and evangelist for technology, and has the knack for pulling people into his dreams, it's been eye opening. The man is a tyrant. He drives, bullies, cajoles, demands and terrorizes his talent to the point of almost total exhaustion. He cries like a boy when he doesn't get his way. The results are some of the most innovative, and forward looking machines anyone ever thought of, which is a blessing to the world, but my humanist side questions whether killing people through 80 hour work weeks for $30,000 a year in 1981-85 dollars is worth the human toll.
I appreciate his business acumen, and applaud his vision, but I could NEVER work for the guy myself. I never worked for a computer comany though, so I have to play dumb on how tightly wound working at Apple or anywhere else really is. Maybe it's that way everywhere.
