Setting up wireless network for a Mac (yeah!) and a PC... |
|
(gack) desktop PC.
We have cable Internet through Charter.net
I am using a linksys broadband router 2.4 ghz
I have successfully installed everything onto the Dell PC.
My Mac's airport can detect the network but when I put in what I thought was the password I assigned, it comes up wrong.
Is there something else I need to do on the Mac?
How can I go in and see what the correct password is so that I can log onto the network?
Thanks! I will also post this in the Mac forum.

Is it the WEP password for the wireless access point?
If so, I've had problems with my linksys access point accepting the text version of the WEP password from my iBook. However, I can connect fine with the hex version. Lots of numbers to type in, but it works.
If it's the password for connecting to the Dell, I got no ideas for ya.
Hope you find a solution.

2. Is your encryption 128bit WEP? |
|
Password has to be exactly 13 characters if so.
