My Firefox OSX has been working so well |
|
all of a sudden the page is so tall I can't see the status bar or use the find feature. Anyone know the cure? I'd hate to have to go back to Explorer.

Have you tried the green button in the upper left corner? Have you tried selecting "full screen" in the "view" menu?
If those things don't work I would simply trash fiefox.app (the application in your apps folder) and then reinstall. It's free so that would be an easy solution- and your bookmarks and extensions would stick around.
Don't go back to IE ever! There are so many other far better browsers- Safari, Opera, Camino etc...

2. Have you tried grabbing the little crosshatched piece in th lower left ... |

... corner and dragging it upward until the page fits the screen? I know that's a simpleton's fix, but I LIKE simple things, they fit my simple mind so well.

I re-installed, but no luck. So I went to Mozilla.org's troubleshooting section, and they suggested restarting in safe mode and creating a new profile. And thank goodness, my bookmarks DID re-appear! Thanks, all!
