Seeking advice on what to do with an older windows machine. |
|
I have an ASUS Pundit, which was one of the first smaller size computers on the market. ASUS calls it a 'book' size computer. I liked the pundit because it was quiet, small, and worked. At least as well as any windows machine could work.
I had loaned it to a friend because he had real hardware and software problems with his machine. Shortly thereafter I talked him into the big switch to Apple, and now he's happily 'puting away with no issues. He loves the iBook. But I now have the Pundit back and would like to put it to work doing something. I've thought of using it for a music server on my home network, but most of the music we listen to comes from XM radio - when it's not on Air America.
I'm open to suggestions. It's just too nice a little machine to kick to the back of the closet. Linux? Maybe, but that would just change the OS. What can I put the little devil to work DOING?
